Chlorine Stripper
Chlorine Stripper

This unit recovers dissolved chlorine from the depleted brine that comes from the Electrolyzers.
The chlorine is then sent to the Hypochlorite Conversion. HCl is added to lower the pH value to 2 to force out the chlorine from the solution. The acidic brine is then sent to the stripping tower, where air is blow in at the bottom and the acidic brine is sprayed in from the top. Thereby the chlorine is extracted from the brine solution and is led to the Hypochlorite Conversion to produce bleach. The brine solution is re-circulated in the stripping tower. According to the liquid level in the stripping tower either more solution is fed from the chlorinated brine receiver tank at low level or solution is sent to the Brine De-Chlorination at high level.
